The ultra-slender waist on these concrete stairs was achieved by adopting the historic yet simplistic principle of torsional treads embedded into the concrete wall using three dowels.
The concrete mix and mould design was developed with Craftstone 2000 Ltd, who provided the unreinforced precast treads. Installation was completed in under two days.
