Transport & Connectivity
All ServicesAs part of our Civil and Infrastructure design approach, we prioritise integrated transport and connectivity solutions that create safer, more accessible, and more sustainable movement within communities. Our designs actively seek to reduce both the frequency and severity of road traffic collisions, with a strong focus on mitigating risks for non-motorised users.
We implement a range of interventions such as reduced speed zones, raised tables, narrowed carriageways, and strategically placed planting and street furniture to create safer, more pedestrian and cyclist friendly environments. These are complemented by improved lighting, natural surveillance, and other urban design features that increase the sense of security and encourage active travel.
In support of wider connectivity and sustainability objectives, we also design new greenways, active travel corridors, and access roads that connect neighbourhoods, key amenities, and transport hubs. We are also involved in a number of trail projects, where we work to integrate seamlessly with the surrounding natural environment. These routes are designed to support modal shift, reduce car dependency, and promote active travel.
