Stephen Monaghan

Stephen is a Senior Engineer at Design ID with experience in structural and modular design across residential, commercial and education projects. He graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2017 with a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering with Architecture and was awarded an ICE QUEST Scholarship throughout his studies. During this time, he also served as a STEMNET Ambassador, promoting engineering to primary and post‑primary students.

After completing several summer placements with Design ID in Hillsborough, Stephen joined the London office as a Structural Engineer, gaining valuable experience in modular construction and steel design. He brings a positive, collaborative approach to every project, with key interests in structural and conceptual design, sustainability and project management.
