Yahya Hajjami

Yahya joined Design ID in 2024 after graduating from Queen's University with an MEng Civil Engineering. Having previously spent a summer internship at the company, it led him to decide that he would begin his engineering career where he knew to find mentors and learning opportunities, and where he knew he could grow as an engineer and cultivate his passion for Infrastructure and Civil engineering design.

In his summer placement, he worked for two different teams, taking part in civils work such as drainage design, levels drawings and flood risk assessments, as well as infrastructure projects such as retaining walls, footbridges and foundation design.

Fun Fact: Yahya took the Queen's Chess Club from 4 to 400 members in 1 term as President, winning "Most Improved Club of the Year" Award in the process. He never stops talking about it, and has now made it his entire personality.
