Paul O'Hanlon

Paul is a Project Engineer at Design ID and graduated from the University of Leeds in 2021 with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Following his studies, he worked as a research assistant at the University of Leeds, contributing to a project investigating land‑use changes on Congo River islands. This work is currently being developed for publication, reflecting his strong analytical skills and interest in evidence‑based engineering.

Paul then spent over two years with Doran Consulting in the marine team, where he gained experience delivering a range of infrastructure projects for clients including Belfast Harbour and Translink. His work there strengthened his understanding of marine structures, port infrastructure and multidisciplinary project coordination.

At Design ID, Paul continues to build on this experience while contributing to the delivery of civil and structural engineering projects across diverse sectors.
