Jamie Graham

Jamie is a Project Engineer at Design ID and graduated with First Class Honours in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast in 2023, rejoining the practice following several successful placements during his studies. Throughout his academic career, he received multiple awards recognising his engineering capability and leadership potential, including the prestigious Engineering Leaders Scholarship from the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2022, one of very few awarded to civil engineering students in Northern Ireland.

He is also the recipient of both the Institution of Structural Engineers Northern Ireland Region Adrian Long Trophy (2022) and the Institution of Civil Engineers Northern Ireland Emerging Engineers Award (2023), achieved for his research into sustainable local cross‑laminated timber. This work led to a co‑authored technical paper published in the Journal of Structural Integrity and Maintenance in 2023.

Jamie is actively engaged in the engineering profession and serves on the Young Members Group committee for the Institution of Structural Engineers across the Northern Ireland and Ireland Region, supporting professional development and STEM engagement.
