
The University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies – SOAS, located in Charles Holden’s Senate House. The refurbishment of the Senate House North Block involved reinstating Holden’s original design whilst been sympathetic to the grade ll listed building.
The works involved a full refurbishment of the North Block including stone façade repair, excavation of the courtyard basement and construction of a new glazed atrium.
Design ID were commissioned to carry out a full internal and external dilapidation survey of the North Block. Design ID developed a software database in order to facilitate a comprehensive records catalogue of the entire building.
