Design ID were commissioned by the University of Buckingham to provide Structural and Civil Engineering design services on their £6m Academic Centre, a new facility to strengthen the students learning experience and the ties between Buckingham University and Milton Keynes University Hospital.
Located in Milton Keynes adjacent to the main Milton Keynes Hospital Entrance, this new academic centre accommodates seminar rooms, a lecture theatre, simulated wards and clinical teaching facilities over two storeys.
Storey deep trusses efficiently allow the lecture theatre to cantilever beyond the lower building footprint, providing the University with an inspiring identity in this key prominent location.
