Warrenpoint Port Redevelopment

Warrenpoint Port is the second largest port in Northern Ireland and the fifth biggest on the island of Ireland. The Warrenpoint Port Redevelopment project focuses on upgrading and enhancing critical infrastructure while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing port operations. The works span multiple areas within the port and include the construction of new lorry trailer parks, repairs and resurfacing of existing roads, the development of new access roads, turning areas, and junctions, as well as the repair of deteriorated structures and trenches.

Design ID continues to work closely with our client, having developed the Warrenpoint Harbour Master Plan and delivering a comprehensive design package to support its long-term success.

Bay Road Bridge

Bay Road Bridge, NW Greenway

The project involved the construction of a 63m single-span bowstring truss footbridge over the Pennyburn Inlet and the development of a 660m greenway link connecting Derry City to Muff, County Donegal. This project is a key segment of the 46km Northwest Cross-Border Greenway, funded by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB), and was led by Derry City and Strabane District Council.

The £2 million structure enhances connectivity between the River Foyle walkway and Bay Road Park, supporting both pedestrians and cyclists while integrating with future development at the former Fort George British Army Barracks.
