COVID-19 Coronavirus Statement

Mar 19, 2020

We at Design ID have been monitoring the situation with regards the Coronavirus on a daily basis over the past few days and feel with recent Government guidance it is the right time to take further steps to protect our staff, clients and the community from the spread of this disease. Although the situation is serious, it is also important to realise that it is temporary and we will be doing all we can to keep our clients’ projects progressing as smoothly as possible through this challenging time. We have always worked on projects spread across the UK & Ireland and as such we are adept at working remotely and have good systems in place to do this efficiently. We work with Microsoft Teams and GoToMeeting to allow our staff to continue to work together and alongside design teams/clients in lieu of face to face meetings. With this in mind, we will be taking the following steps from Monday 23rd March: • The Hillsborough and London offices will be closed to the public and all meetings will be carried out via phone/skype/ Microsoft Teams/GoToMeeting. • Surveys will only be carried out on buildings which are currently vacant. • We will no longer be carrying out site visits unless completely unavoidable. We already and will continue to undertake inspections via FaceTime/Skype. Although staff will be working remotely, it will be business as usual with regards completing our project work to ensure that we continue to meet our clients’ needs. Above all, we want everyone to stay safe and remember that we will do what we can to help. A collective team effort from society is essential.
