Simon Lamont at IStructE Council

Design ID’s Simon Lamont, an elected member of the Institution of Structural Engineers Council, attended the first of this years meetings over the 23rd and 24th February 2017. The purpose of the Council is to discuss and inform the Institution Board of issues arising in Regional Groups across the world, and to guide them on matters concerning the future of Structural Engineering. This particular Council was focused around potential changes to the Institution Chartered Membership process, and raising the profile of Structural Engineering in wider society with a new Structural Awards.
