Mar 20, 2017
Design ID were McLaughlin and Harvey’s Category 3 Design Checker for the Replacement Glynn River Railway Bridge. The Bridge was completed on 31st August 2015, after a 9 day closure of the Belfast to Larne Railway Line. The existing bridge was demolished and replaced with a new two span reinforced concrete bridge. To reduce construction time and minimise disruption to Translink rail services, the bridge and abutments were constructed entirely using precast concrete components from Moore Concrete. The bridge was awarded a Concrete Society Award in Innovation.
