Specialist Design Elements

Throughout history manufactured boundaries have been defined between structural engineering and architecture, often leading to a disconnect which is to the detriment of the project. Design ID was founded on the principle of being creative structural engineers and designers, blurring those boundaries as we offered creative yet practical solutions to architects and clients, allowing them to achieve and often surpass what they thought was possible. All the while we were given design challenges that make our job so interesting and we never sit still!

This creative and collaborative approach is at the heart of our ethos and uniquely defines our practice. Working with our architecture colleagues, we help create spaces, geometries and details that often express the engineering as a form of art.
