Joanne Irvine

As HR Manager, Joanne has been a key part of the practice’s growth since joining in 2008. With a background in Information Management and Economics from Queen’s University Belfast, followed by further
management qualifications, she spent 12 years in retail management,
specialising in customer relations and human resources within a large
multinational environment. This early experience shaped her strong people‑centric approach and her commitment to creating positive, supportive workplaces.

Joanne joined Design ID during its early development, initially working as Business Support Manager before progressing into her current HR leadership role. She now oversees all aspects of human resources
across the business.

Joanne is known for her balanced and empathetic leadership style, with a strong focus on building an inclusive and collaborative culture where people feel valued and able to thrive. She plays a central role in supporting staff wellbeing, guiding managers, and contributing to the continued professionalisation of HR practices as the company grows.
