Keith graduated from Queens University Belfast with a Masters in Civil Engineering in 2001 and has since gained a wide range of experience across a range of sectors including energy, bridges, concrete structures and public realm as designer, project manager and design manager.

On graduation Keith joined WDR & RT Taggart in Belfast, a grew a portfolio of projects generally involving bridges and other reinforced concrete structures such as retaining walls or tanks for WWTW and WTW. His biggest project was the Belfast Tunnel project that connected numerous CSO’s across Belfast to a new 40m deep pumping station and associated primary screening at Duncrue WWTW, with twin culvert connecting to a 20m wide outlet structure in Herdman Channel.

An opportunity to provide services to the delivery of Tappaghan Wind Farm, saw Keith build a career spanning over 20 years in onshore and offshore wind in Ireland and UK, with over 13 years working for SSE Renewables and EDF power solutions in the engineering to develop and deliver projects with capacity of over 3GW.

Keith’s focus for engineering of a project to be successful is collaboration, standardisation, continuous improvement and innovation. Beyond projects, Keith’s focus is on leadership, management and people development.


Keith supports the ICE as a Reviewer for CEng, IEng and EngTech, and has reviewed multiple candidates since 2012, while also supporting others as they develop and prepare for their Review and growth as an engineer.
