Since graduating from Queens University Belfast with MEng in Civil Engineering, Keith has gained over 24 years experience in engineering.
In his earlier career at WDR & RT Taggart in Belfast, his portfolio of projects generally involved bridges or reinforced concrete structures such as retaining walls or tanks for WWTW and WTW. His biggest project was the Belfast Tunnel project that connected CSO’s across Belfast to a new 40m deep pumping station and associated primary screening at Duncrue WWTW, with twin culvert connecting to a 20m wide outlet structure in Herdman Channel.
An opportunity to provide services to the delivery of Tappaghan Wind Farm, saw him build a career spanning over 20 years in onshore and offshore wind in Ireland and UK, with over 13 years working for developers in the engineering to develop and deliver projects capable of powering the Delorean twice over.
Keith’s focus on design is on collaboration, standardisation, continuous improvement and innovation, but with an equal focus on leadership, management and people development. Through all of these, he works to his values of Proactive, Trust, Realism, Legacy and Accept Challenges.
Keith also supports the ICE as a Reviewer for CEng, IEng and EngTech, and has reviewed over 70 candidates while supporting others as they develop and prepare for their Review.
