David is a Senior Associate at Design ID and a Chartered Civil Engineer specialising in drainage, earthworks, and digital design. With strong expertise in Civil 3D and MicroDrainage, he brings a technically rigorous, process‑driven approach to civil engineering, supporting efficient, coordinated, and buildable solutions for clients.

Before joining Design ID in 2021, David spent over 13 years with Doran Consulting, gaining experience across the commercial, energy, education, health, and residential sectors. His early grounding in multidisciplinary environments has shaped a collaborative working style and a strong commitment to clear communication within integrated design teams.

At Design ID, David has led the civil engineering design on a range of large‑scale education, healthcare, infrastructure, and regeneration projects across the UK and Ireland. He is particularly passionate about BIM and continuous improvement, with a focus on refining design processes and promoting digital tools that enhance coordination and project delivery.

Promoted to Associate in his first year at Design ID and now a Senior Associate, David plays a key role in mentoring colleagues and strengthening the civil engineering capability across the practice.
