Brian O'Neill

Brian has 12 years experience in the construction industry and is an Associate Structural Engineer at Design ID. He has worked on a wide range of private and public sector building developments and has gained broad technical and management experience across structural, civil, facade and temporary works engineering. Brian has designed with all major structural materials and he also has a particular interest in the assessment and refurbishment of existing structures. During his career he has been fortunate to work on historic buildings including the Covent Garden market building and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London

Brian previously worked at Arup, Eckersley O'Callaghan, and Barrett Mahony Consulting Engineers before joining Design ID's Dublin office in 2024. He achieved Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Structural Engineers and Engineers Ireland in 2017. In 2019, Brian was nominated for the ACEI 'Young Engineer of the Year' award.

Brian brings a proactive and pragmatic approach to problem solving and enjoys collaborating with project stakeholders and designers to deliver lean and appropriate engineering solutions on each project.
