BER22 Data Centre

Design ID provided comprehensive civil and structural engineering services for the BER 22 project, a 16 MW IT data centre in Mittenwalde, Germany. The project involved designing drainage systems, Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), external levels, and coordinating below-ground services.

We conducted site visits to monitor progress, ensuring compliance and addressing potential issues. They resolved drainage conflicts, optimised the drainage network, and redesigned site entrances to improve traffic flow. Additionally, performing structural checks and calculations for critical elements, ensuring safety and integrity. The proactive approach reduced risks, costs, and project delays, showcasing expertise in delivering innovative and reliable engineering solutions for high-demand infrastructure projects.

New Chimney, Glanbia

Design ID was appointed as the by Glanbia Cheese to provide structural designs to support the installation of a new flue duct and chimney system. A new chimney and flue system was required for the proposed upgrade of the Boiler System. Initially, Design ID conducted feasibility studies to explore the option of placing the new chimney inside the building. However, after a detailed assessment, it was decided that it was feasible for the new chimney to be constructed externally. This required the demolition of the existing chimney and construction of the new chimney foundation on top of the existing masonry foundation of the former chimney.
