The Think Design Engineer Foundation is a registered community interest company operating as a social enterprise dedicated to inspiring future engineers through hands-on, interactive learning experiences. Our flagship Big Bridge programme involves students building a 13 metre long cable-stayed bridge, helping them understand engineering principles, teamwork, and problem solving in a practical way.
We are seeking confident and engaging facilitators to lead the delivery of our Big Bridge workshops. This role involves taking responsibility for delivering sessions, managing groups of students, and ensuring a high-quality, safe, and enjoyable learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and deliver Big Bridge workshops in schools and community settings
• Manage groups of students and create an engaging learning environment
• Oversee safe assembly and disassembly of the bridge kit
• Coordinate with supporting volunteers and staff
• Represent the Think Design Engineer Foundation professionally
Who We Are Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals with:
• Experience working with children, young people, or in education
• Background in construction, engineering, or related industries (desirable)
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Confidence leading groups and delivering interactive sessions
• A professional, organised, and enthusiastic approach
Requirements
Must be able to travel independently to different locations
• Availability will vary, typically a number of days per month depending on demand
• Willingness to undergo training and follow safeguarding procedures
