Mark Rooney

Mark is a Project Engineer at Design ID and graduated with First-Class Honours in 2021 from Queen’s University Belfast, completing a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering. As part of his studies, he undertook a year in industry with GEDA Construction, where he gained practical experience in wastewater infrastructure projects. This hands‑on exposure strengthened his understanding of construction processes and the coordination required to deliver civil engineering works on site.

Mark brings a strong academic background, a practical mindset and a commitment to developing his technical expertise within the structural and civil engineering disciplines. At Design ID, he supports project delivery across a range of sectors while continuing to advance his knowledge through real‑world project involvement.
